There are lots of beverage classics fit in at any fright fest, like pumpkin and seasonal fall beers, cider, and punch garnished with grape “eyeballs.” But to give a party a personal, one-of-a-kind twist, you can get creative and make a cocktail just for the occasion.

For this Halloween season, we’re digging the boo-zey kick of Mr. Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur. In addition to its rich flavor, it’s got a deep, dark color that makes cocktails look eerie and mysterious. This recipe from Joe Mihalchick, manager of FreshDirect Wine & Spirits, matches those coffee notes with peanut butter whiskey for creaminess and rye for a bit of spiciness. To garnish, Joe likes to use chocolate-covered espresso beans, giving the drink the fitting title of Bean There, Done That. Try it out and get the recipe below!
