Now you can have your apples and eat them, too. For a fun, kid-friendly activity, make these easy-to-eat apple dippers at your Halloween party. Simply dip your favorite apples into chocolate, peanut butter, and your other favorite toppings for an easy twist on a classic fall treat.
What You’ll Need:
Red and green apples
Lemon juice
Chocolate chips
2 cups marshmallows
2 tablespoons butter
Peanut butter
Nutella
Sprinkles
Peanuts or other nuts
Skewers
What to Do:
In the microwave, melt chocolate chips in 30-second increments, stirring often.
Melt marshmallows on the stove top with butter until melted.
While the chocolate and marshmallows are heating, start cutting apples into small slices and sticking them with skewers. (Tip: If you’re not eating immediately, sprinkle slices with lemon juice to keep them from discoloring.)
Cover the top half of the apples slices with melted chocolate, melted marshmallows, peanut butter, and Nutella. Before they harden, add chocolate chips, crushed peanuts, and sprinkles onto different slices.
Refrigerate for a few hours until the toppings set. Enjoy!
