Here’s your latest excuse to drink a margarita, as if you needed one at all.
This margarita is ice-cold and full of tart lime juice and creamy avocado. And if it has avocado, that makes it healthy… right? It’s a perfect alternative to your lime margarita for Cinco de Mayo, or to help kill that killer hangover on the sixth.
What You’ll Need:
2 cups ice
1/2 cup tequila
1/4 cup Cointreau
1/4 cup lime juice, or fresh juice from approximately four limes)
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
2 teaspoons agave nectar
2 teaspoons salt
1 chopped jalapeño
What to Do:
Combine all of your ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. If your margarita is too creamy, continue adding ice until you get the consistency you want.
Put salt on a small dish—the same width or larger than your serving glasses. Dip your cups in water, and then into the salt to rim your glass.
Pour your avocado margarita and garnish with cilantro and a slice of jalapeño. Cheers!
