Adios, boring breakfast toast. You’ll never look at toast the same way again.
What You’ll Need:
1 pint blueberries
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 lemon
Bread
Ricotta cheese
Optional: mint and almonds
What to Do:
First, make your blueberry balsamic reduction: Heat a pan on high. Combine sugar, blueberries, and balsamic vinegar and simmer for 5 minutes. If you so desire, mash the blueberries slightly but don’t break them all.
Next, prep your toast! Toast your bread and top with a thick layer of ricotta cheese. Top with a spoonful of balsamic blueberries and fresh lemon zest.
Garnish with slivered almonds and fresh mint.
