While beer and ice cream may seem like an odd couple, they are actually the perfect pair. When you mix a dark chocolate stout with thick, creamy mint chip ice cream, the result is frothy perfection. This adult beer float is the best dessert for the end of a long day!
If you’re not a fan of mint chocolate, you can try swapping in your favorite flavored stout with your favorite flavor of ice cream—there are no wrong answers! (Double chocolate is also a fave around here.) Here’s how we made ours:
What You’ll Need:
Brooklyn Brewery black chocolate stout
Mint chip ice cream (we used Haagen-Dazs!)
What to Do:
Put three scoops of ice cream in a glass. Pour chocolate stout over the scoops until the glass is full and enjoy!
For a virgin version, sub with root beer. We recommend using vanilla or chocolate, but it’s easy to get creative with root beer floats!
