We’re seriously obsessed with all foods on a stick. Even better: These are sweet.
Cake pops are great but funfetti cake pops are even better. This simple dessert is great for kids—they can have all the fun picking out red, white, and blue sprinkles for the Americana-inspired cake pops and have even more fun eating them.

What You’ll Need:
Boxed cake mix, vanilla-flavored
3 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
Red and blue sprinkles
1/4 cup frosting, plus more
What to Do:
Follow the instructions on your box. Ours called for one box of cake mix, 3 eggs, 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, and 1 cup of water. Then, add red, white, and blue sprinkles for the funfetti effect. Bake as per the box.
Once the cake is cooled, crumble it in a large bowl with 1/4 cup of vanilla-flavored frosting. Mold into small balls and place them on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
Add popsicle or lollipop sticks into the cake balls and freeze until they harden.
Before removing the cake balls from the freezer, melt frosting in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring often.
Dip your cake balls in the frosting. If you’re feeling ambitious, dye your frosting red or blue to make them even more Fourth of July appropriate. Top with more red, white, and blue sprinkles, and let the frosting harden.
Serve at your backyard BBQ on the Fourth and tweak the recipe all year long for other holidays. Think: green and red for Christmas; red, pink, and white for Valentine’s Day; and orange and black for Halloween.
