Our annual  Lobster Party is back, and we’re inviting you to throw a bash that’s sure to end with your guests giving you a rapturous round of a-claws. Read more for tips and hints on how to throw an epic lobster bash, plus watch two music videos featuring our lobster mascot Pinchy.

We’re making summer entertaining easy by delivering the freshest live lobsters right to your door. Our seafood experts have sourced the best-tasting lobster from our partners Homarus in Maine at the lowest cost of the season so you can butter up your seafoodie friends and family. Here are some tips to get your guests out of their shells at your next lobster boil:

  • Remember The B-52’s “Rock Lobster”? A decent seafood-themed playlist to get your guests in the mood is crucial. How about Otis Redding’s “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” or The Beach Boys’ “Catch a Wave”?
  • Come up with a theme—add some nautical flair or keep it simple with red and white checkered tablecloths. Don’t forget to invite Pinchy our lobster mascot (check out his rap video below!)
  • Don’t be shellfish! Use the hashtag #FDLobsterParty so you and your friends can RSVP and share your pics. That way no one misses out on the fun!
  • What could go better with lobster than a cool, refreshing beer to wash it all down? We recommend pairing the citrus acidity of wheat-based beers like hefeweizen or Belgian witbier to match the delicious flavors.
  • If you’re looking for a sweet way to end the night, serve tart lemon squares or a gooey blueberry pie for dessert pairings that will have everyone digging right in.

Get everything you need to throw an awesome lobster party here.

Having trouble building your playlist? Here’s our newest jam from Pinchy and the Bottom4eeder Boys, a follow-up to his 2014’s debut.

And all started here. Check out our original lobster rap:

NY Common Pantry
@NYCommonPantry reduces hunger and promotes dignity, health, and self-sufficiency throughout New York City. In 2020, NYCP distributed over 6.2 million meals to those in need. NYCP's support and services include distribution of fresh produce and groceries, nutrition education, and case management to help participants find housing and other vital services. www.nycommonpantry.org.

Meals on Main Street
Meals on Main Street / @CaritasPC 's focus is on feeding people, and their programs are designed to meet their clients' needs in a variety of ways, from pop-up pantries to home deliveries, with the help of over 500 active volunteers. Meal on Main Street began making deliveries to homes at the start of the pandemic with a list of 70 families. By the end of 2020, the list had grown to 90 and then early in 2021, to 110 families. They believe this will continue to be one aspect of their service to the community, serving those who are shut-in, quarantined, or elderly. https://www.mealsonmainst.org/

Food Pantry at the Children's Museum of the East End
After learning that 80% of families in its outreach programs were laid off last spring, the Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton, NY, launched a food pantry that is now serving over 75 families each week. In addition to addressing food insecurity, @cmee provides vulnerable families with emotional support and hope for the future. www.CMEE.org
Add this sheet pan flounder parmesan into this wee Add this sheet pan flounder parmesan into this week's meal rotation for all the flavor and almost zero the clean up. Our responsibly sourced, wild-caught flounder from our partner Icemar in Iceland pairs perfectly with a cheesy crust and juicy roasted tomatoes.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a bowl, toss in 2 containers cherry tomatoes, 4 tbsp olive oil, 6 sprigs thyme, salt and pepper. Let sit 10 minutes, then transfer to a foil-lined sheet. Working in same bowl, coat 4 flounder fillets with 2 tbsp olive oil, salt and pepper. Fold each fillet in half lengthwise and arrange next to tomatoes on sheet. Combine 1/2 c grated Parmesan, 1/2 c panko, and 2 tbsp olive oil in same bowl, then sprinkle evenly over tops of fish on sheet (any extra can go on the tomatoes). Roast 12 mins; if crumbs need more browning, finish under broiler.
