Make a Mashed Potato Bar

Amanda Hawkins · November 11, 2015 ·

There are two type of people in this world: stuffing people and mashed potato people. If you’re the latter, prepare to have all of your ‘tater dreams come true. Mashed potatoes plus all of the toppings your taste buds could desire? What’s not to love! We think this would be the perfect way to top off last year’s Friendsgiving, just make sure you don’t eat too much or you won’t have room for seconds. #theworst

Suggested Toppings:
-Mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes
-Steamed veggies like broccoli and cauliflower
-Shredded cheeses like Parmesan and cheddar
-Herbs like chives, rosemary, and thyme
-Meaty toppings like bacon, pulled pork, and shrimp
-Crunchy toppings like fried onions and croutons
-Salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and other dips

Set up a table with your favorite ingredients from the above list and instruct your guests to have fun! We went simple with cheese, bacon, and some chives, but you can go over the top with salsa, steamed veggies, guacamole, and more. Sounds like a smashing good time to us.

Each and every person on our team is committed to making great food easy to get and this month we are proud to introduce Luis Yanes, a Training Specialist on our Learning & Development team.

“Through FreshDirect, I have learned that hard work really does pay off. Six years ago, I began as a route driver as a way to provide for my family and save for college. Throughout that time I have become a training specialist guiding incoming talent in the company. By recognizing employees for their excellence and the ability to pinpoint strengths and the way individuals can add to the organization, I know I can achieve my goal to develop coaching for our truck drivers and most importantly feel secure in my future.”
