Rice Krispie Eggs with a Hidden Surprise

Amanda Hawkins · March 21, 2016 ·

Easter eggs are fun—but these sweet Easter eggs are even better. These pretty versions will wow your friends and make your kids squeal with delight. Present the eggs to them as a lovely Easter surprise (or anytime surprise)—and then eat the goodies! Perfect for decorating (and for eating), learn how to make your own after the cut.

What You’ll Need:
1 box Rice Krispies cereal
1 package marshmallows
Butter
Icing
Food coloring
Small candies like jelly beans
Lemon
Cooking spray
Saran wrap
Small bowl

What to Do:
1. Make your Rice Krispie Treats according to the instructions on the box. Spread the completed mixture on a cookie sheet and let it cool. But not for too long or you won’t be able to mold it into the egg shape!

2. Spray the inside of a small bowl with cooking spray. Cover a lemon with saran wrap the spray with cooking spray, too. Start molding the Rice Krispies in the bowl. Add the lemon and continue molding the Rice Krispies all around to create an egg shape.

3. Put the egg shaped Rice Krispies in the freezer so it hardens. When ready, cut a line down the center and remove the lemon. In this hole, add your favorite Easter candies.

4. Reseal the egg using your fingers and start decorating with icing. Use food coloring to make pastel-colored frosting and have fun!

Throughout that time I have become a training specialist guiding incoming talent in the company. By recognizing employees for their excellence and the ability to pinpoint strengths and the way individuals can add to the organization, I know I can achieve my goal to develop coaching for our truck drivers and most importantly feel secure in my future.”
