Even better than bacon: the surprising ingredient is dried cranberries.
What You’ll Need:
1 pound Brussels sprouts, cleaned and halved
4 slices bacon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 large shallot
1/2 cup dried cranberries
Salt and pepper
What to Do:
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Prep your ingredients: Clean and halve your Brussels sprouts, thinly slice the shallot, and dice your bacon.
Cover a baking sheet with Brussels sprouts and bacon. Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and gently toss. Add salt for taste. Roast for another 10 minutes.
Remove from oven again and add brown sugar and shallots. Toss together and roast for a final 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and add dried cranberries. Season with more salt and pepper and serve!
