Feeling a little salty about Dry January nineteen days in? If so, then you might want to try this Pink Salty Dog cocktail from FD Ambassador Anita Schecter aka @hungrycouplenyc - it includes good for you peak season pink grapefruit from us and spirits available from @fdwinesandspirits for delivery in select areas. WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
4 oz. vodka
8 oz. pink grapefruit juice
Grapefruit beer or hard soda
Coarse salt for rimming

WHAT TO DO:
•Place some coarse salt in a shallow dish. •Run a cut grapefruit around the edges of two highball glasses and dip into the salt. •Refrigerate for a few minutes to set.
•Add the vodka and grapefruit juice to a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, shake well and pour into the prepared glasses.
•Top with the grapefruit beer or soda and garnish with slices of pink grapefruit, if desired.

Today, we set aside talk of food to focus on and celebrate the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. And we also celebrate the important work of his wife Coretta Scott King; not only was she his active partner in the civil rights movement, she also fought tirelessly for 15 years to have this day made an official federal holiday. For all they both did, a simple morsel of a quote didn't seem like enough to mark the day. We wanted to share this playlist that contains nearly all of his important speeches, so you can nourish your mind and reflect deeply on his messages, in a larger context and beyond today. We hope you will enjoy and be as inspired by it as we are.

🍵 Hot cocoa, but make it white chocolate + matcha! Cold, windy, winter weekends are perfect for snuggling at home with this bevy and your favorite movie! See more at our story.

Matcha White Hot Chocolate

What You'll Need for 2 servings:

•2 cups milk of choice
• 2 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder
• 3 oz white chocolate, rough chopped
• optional addition: a scoop of unflavored collagen powder
• marshmallows for topping

What To Do:
• Add milk and matcha powder to a small saucepan and whisk to help the matcha dissolve (with handheld frother if available)
• Add white chocolate & warm over medium heat, stirring frequently (do not boil)
• Remove from heat when desired temperature is reached (watch for it to begin steaming)
• Divide between mugs, add a scoop of collagen if using, & top with marshmallows!

Sometimes bigger can be better. Case in point: Chobani. Their mission always has been to make better food accessible to more people, thus making the world a healthier place. We like to think of them as a yogurt version of that relatable, down to earth celebrity you'd want to break bread and share a beer with; they've come a long way, but haven't lost sight of their original mission or forgotten where they came from.
