The classic reuben gets a twist by swapping in turkey for corned beef. Make this diner staple—sometimes called The Rachel—at home with just a few ready-to-eat ingredients. All you need is a little bit of heat. Get the recipe after the jump.
What You’ll Need:
FreshDirect Turkey Breast with Gravy
Fresh sauerkraut
Thousand Island dressing
Rye bread (we used Orwashers Righteous Rye Boule)
Swiss cheese
What to Do:
Place FreshDirect turkey breast on a microwave-safe plate and heat for two minutes.
While the turkey is heating, place your bread in the toaster to give it a nice crunch.
Start building your sandwich: Layer turkey, sauerkraut, and swiss cheese. Before you add the top slice of bread, broil for one minute or until the cheese melts.
Top your sammie with a hefty helping of Thousand Island (or Russian) dressing, add the second slice of bread, cut, and enjoy!
