Domaine du Vaux Saint Georges Touraine Chenonceaux Sauvignon Blanc

The pinnacle of Touraine, the Chenonceaux appellation is reserved for the very best Sauvignon Blancs combining richness, elegance, and power. To produce Domaine du Vaux, St. Georges' flagship wine, Guy and Cédric Allion select grapes from the upper parts of their steepest sloped vineyards overlooking the Cher river. The wine is fermented at low temperature to preserve the delicate fruit flavors and matured on the lees for at least six months to enhance richness and complexity. A pale gold colored wine with aromas of ripe fruits (citrus, pear, and apricot) and exotic fruits (pineapple, litchi, and passion fruit) finishing with fine toasted and brioche notes. On the palate, this wine is ample, fat, and powerful, with aromatic complexity and persistency.
