Delord 25 Year Old Bas-Armagnac
Sold out
The Delord family has been making Armagnac since 1893. Today the 4th generation of the family distills and blends Bas Armagnac from all four traditional Armagnac grape varieties: Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Baco and Folle-Blanche just as their great-grandfather did. Delord is renowned for its old techniques. A particularly slow single distillation process at low temperature is used allowing more flavor and character to remain in the spirit. A small portion of their Armagnac is aged in the traditional Gascon oak giving darker color and tannins. No pesticides or fertilizers are used in the Delord vineyards. The 25 year old is elegant on the nose with peppery notes and spices. It is in the mouth that this aged beauty will unveil its full complexity. The palate combines cocoa, spice, vanilla, raisin, walnut and cinnamon flavors with a hint of rancio — a spicy and nutty flavor prized in old Armangnacs. The finish is long, silky and biscuity. An amazing Bas-Armagnac eau-de-vie. (from Delord)
