Castel la Vie Rouge du Castel Red Blend

Born in Alexandria, Egypt and educated in Europe, winemaker Eli Ben Zaken moved to Israel, first working in agriculture and later in the restaurant business. Without any formal winemaking education, he turned Domaine du Castel from a hobby into a formal business. Notes of black cherry, blackberry, and mint, with hints of roasted herbs and dark chocolate on the finish. Well balanced, fruitful and fresh. (from the vintner)
