Smoking Loon Pinot Noir

Smoking Loon was established in 2000 on a very simple premise: good wine doesn't need to take itself so seriously. Originally named for Don Sebastiani's love of cigars and his father August's passion for water fowl (don't ask, long story), Smoking Loon offers an irreverent, tongue-in-cheek approach to enjoying wine. Smoking Loon Pinot Noir is brick red in color and has aromas of strawberry, rhubarb, plum, and vanilla. Flavors of cherry, raspberry, and cranberry sauce combine to create a light and fruity sweetness. A velvety soft palate and well balanced acidity round out this medium bodied wine. Enjoy this fruit driven wine with grilled salmon, risotto or white pizza. (from the vintner)
