Blue Quail Mendocino County Organic Pinot Noir
2022, Pinot Noir 100%, U.S.A.

Guinness McFadden has been growing grapes organically for over 40 years on a beautiful piece of land that straddles the Russian River, neighbors the Mendocino National Forrest, and sits at an elevation of over 1200 in the Potter Valley AVA of Mendocino. In this unique micro-climate, temperatures regularly drop 40 degrees overnight allowing grapes to hang longer on the vine to develop a fullness of flavor that is balanced with crisp, bright acidity. This Pinot Noir offers aromas of deep strawberry and raspberry, accented with a nuance of oak spice. It is medium bodied, structured with soft tannins and flavors of ripe berries, with a long silky finish. The palate is nice and dry, silky, soft, with the lighter, leaner profile makes it a great Pinot for food. (from the vintner)
