Mocali Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

Dino Ciacci, the founder of the Mocali estate, was one of these 25 vignerons who founded the Corsorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino in 1967. Mocali has always followed a traditional style of winemaking, aging their Brunello classico in only large French and Slavonian oak casks. Aromas of raspberry and cherry are supported by notes of mint, earthy spice, and chocolate. Sweet red fruit flavors are framed by brisk acidity and minerality, followed by a pretty display of lingering floral tones. A great wine that deserves something substantial, like roast leg of lamb with rosemary, pot roast, or a juicy strip steak. (from the vintner)
