Chateau de Coulaine Chinon Rouge Bonnaventure

Chateau de Coulaine is a family-owned estate which has been operating continuously since 1300. Since 1988, Etienne de Bonnaventure has assumed the viticulture and winemaking responsibilities and has grown the estate to its current 12 hectares. This wine has a slightly rugged mouthfeel, with wood spice and bramble accents framing the core of juicy black cherry and black currant preserve flavors. Light tobacco, alder and iron notes add more energy through the finish. A perfect pairing with grilled steaks and pork chops, Portobello mushrooms, or any dish accented with green olives, pepper, rosemary, and mint. (from the vintner)
