Ebb Tide Organic Pinot Gris Ramato, Low Sulfites

Sold out
After more than a decade selling wine in some of Portland's finest restaurants, John Grochau plunged into winemaking. He spent a year in Sonoma before returning to Oregon to work at Erath Winery and then Brick House. His first vintage as owner and winemaker at Grochau Cellars was 2002. Ebb Tide is a blend of three sustainably farmed sites from Willamette Valley, two in Van Duzer and one in McMinnville AVA. The deep color is achieved from more than a week of skin maceration. All grapes are hand-harvested; only indigenous yeasts are added at fermentation. No sulfur is added besides a very small dose of SO2 at destemming. Juicy, earthy, and incredibly versatile, Ebb Tide Pinot Gris Ramato is best served a slight chill along with roasted duck breast or pork tenderloin. (from the vintner)
