Charles Heidsieck Champagne Brut Reserve
Sold out
In 1851, young Charles Heidsieck founded his own Champagne house in Reims. He traversed America repeatedly north to south promoting his new brand; the stylish entrepreneur became known lovingly as "Champagne Charlie." Pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles. Complex pastry aromas with a combination of ripe apricot, mango and almond. Silky smooth, with a perfect balance of freshness and generosity. The reserve wines, some dating back more than 15 years, give the wine lushness. Delicious as an aperitif, this wine is also complex and rich enough to be drunk with a meal. (from the vintner)
