Fernand Girard Sancerre "La Garenne"

La Garenne was named for the original 2.5-hectare plot from which this Sancerre came. Today, the name remains while the fruit comes from fifth-generation Girards family's 14 hectares of vines over five communes. Their Sancerre is everything one hopes for: bright, lively, pleasantly aromatic, with zippy acidity. A wonderful food wine that is as versatile as it is easy to drink. (from the vintner)
