San Osvaldo Sauvignon Blanc DOP

Sold out
Northeastern Italy has a long tradition of producing great Sauvignon Blanc. The wines have more floral and tropical fruit characteristics as opposed to the citrus and herbal notes found in Sauvignons from France or New Zealand. The Lison-Pramaggiore area, just west of Venice, has produced wines for the Doges, rulers of Venice, for centuries. San Osvaldo is one of the top wineries of the area and this is one of our favorite Sauvignon Blanc's from Italy. San Osvaldo Sauvignon is a straw, yellow-colored wine with a broad nose of floral, ripe melon, peach, and pineapple. On the palate it is dry and savory with crisp acidity and delicate body and a refreshing finish. Enjoy as an aperitif or with a variety of seafood dishes, soups, goat cheese, vegetables, and risotto.
