Black Velvet Apricot
Also known as Black Velvet Aprium. With a deep-red hue and just a kiss of fuzz, this apricot is as stunning to look at as it is to snack on. Yet another delicious example of the successful crossing of an apricot and a plum, the Black Velvet varietal has a sweet, floral flavor with just a touch of tartness. Definitely enjoyable all by its lonesome, we also like them sliced and served with a dollop of crème fraîche. Plan ahead! Our apricots arrive firm. They'll soften in 3-5 days at room temperature, or you can speed up the process to 2-3 days by storing them in our complimentary fruit ripening bag. When your apricots yield to gentle pressure, they're ready.
