I was told that a credit would appear on my next order, and I have placed a new order, so why weren't the credits deducted?
Credits applied to an account are generally available for use after the order has reached a settlement status. While the time may vary based on the payment method, credits are generally available within 48 hours.
I need to cancel my order I placed for later in the week. Will I be charged?
No. We don't charge you for an order until the day of delivery; however, for orders placed within 48 hours of delivery, we do authorize your credit card. That amount will be automatically released if your order is not processed within 3 business days, although release times may vary based on your banking institution's policies.
How do I add a form of payment to my account?
Simply go to Your Account, log into your account with your email and password info, then click into the Payment Options link at the left side of Your Account page. At the Payment Options page, you'll see two green buttons that will allow you to either Add New Account or Add New Card. Click into the relevant button and follow the instructions to submit your new payment information.
Can I use multiple payment methods?
In general, we accept one form of payment for a single order. The exception to this would be an order which is paid for using a FreshDirect gift card. In this case, the amount of the order will be deducted from the gift card balance and then any remaining order amount due will be deducted from the main payment method on file.
How can I pay for my order?
FreshDirect accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards as well as debit cards bearing the MasterCard or Visa logo. You can also pay for your orders directly from your checking account. FreshDirect is also proud to join state and federal agencies in testing a pilot program that will deliver fresh food and groceries to select Bronx ZIP codes for customers using Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards. What happens when I make a checking account payment?
Your checking account will be charged on the day of delivery. You'll receive an e-mail confirming your final order total.

What is the minimum order?
The minimum order total is $30, not including tax and the delivery fee.
Does FreshDirect accept coupons?
We offer FD Coupons, which allow you to enjoy coupon savings at FreshDirect. FD Coupons are digital coupons that you'll find on select products. To redeem, read the coupon details, click the FD Coupon checkbox below the product image to 'clip' the coupon and add the required minimum purchase quantity to your cart. At this time, we are not able to honor paper coupons or digital coupons from other sources.
Does FreshDirect accept personal checks or cash?
You can pay through your checking account online. We do not accept paper checks, cashier's checks, money orders or cash at this time.

Why am I getting charged more than what's shown on my invoice?
If your order contains an item that is sold by the pound, then the total amount noted on the confirmation for each of these items is an estimate. The final price of these items are determined at the time your order is assembled. As a result, there may be a slight difference between in the final amount invoiced.
How does payment work?
If you do not select a preferred payment option, then we will automatically select a default payment method at checkout. If you have a store credit or gift card on your account, we always use that first. If you don't have a balance, we will automatically select your bank (debit or e-check), PayPal, credit card or MasterPass, in that order, unless a default payment method is selected.
You can easily change to another available payment method at checkout.
How do I set up a default payment?
Simply go to Payment Methods in Your Account and you'll see the ability to check off the payment method you'd like to set as your default.
If I set up a default payment, how does it work?
Once you select a default payment method, it will automatically apply at checkout to your orders at FreshDirect and our sister company, FoodKick. You can easily change to another available payment method at checkout.
