We roll our flaky butter croissant dough around sweet almond paste, then sprinkle with toasted sliced almonds. The resulting crescent-shaped pastry is so rich and sweet that it needs neither butter nor jam. Warm these briefly in the oven and serve for breakfast, as a snack, or as the sweet addition to brunch.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Discard package and arrange croissants on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 5-7 minutes until crispy. Remove from oven and cool 2 minutes.
