A classic dark roast: deep body and extremely full flavor, with very low acidity. French roast drinks like liquid velvet. Purists and connoisseurs might take it black, but we think this ebony roast deserves a generous splash of steamed milk — for café au lait that you would expect at a bistro on the Rive Gauche.
