These chicken cutlets get coated in sesame seeds, which create an extra-satisfying layer of texture. We've paired them with a rustic, German-style potato salad, folding in bacon and cole slaw to amp up the flavor.

Equipment You'll Need:
- Large Pan (Cast Iron Recommended)
- Medium Bowl
From Your Pantry:
- Neutral Oil such as Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
- 2 oz. Bacon
- 1 cntr. Breaded Chicken Cutlets
- 0.5 oz. Sesame Seeds
- 9 oz. Creamer Potatoes
- 5 oz. Mustard Coleslaw
- 1 Lemon
Place the bacon into an unheated, large pan (cast iron recommended ). Place the pan over low heat and cook the bacon until the fat has fully rendered and the bacon becomes crisp. Remove the pan from the heat. Transfer the cooked bacon to a plate and the bacon fat to a medium bowl . 2. Cook Chicken
Season the chicken cutlets with salt and generously spread the sesame seeds on both sides. Gently press the sesame seeds into the chicken. To the same pan, over medium-high heat, add ¼ cup of any neutral oil. When the oil begins to shimmer, gently place one cutlet at a time into the hot oil. Fry the cutlets for 2 - 3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.* Chef’s Tip: If you over-brown your chicken and it is not cooked through, transfer it from the pan and onto a baking sheet. Place it into a 350⁰F oven until thoroughly cooked. 3. Microwave Potatoes
Place the bag of potatoes in the microwave with the FreshDirect logo side up. Heat on high for 4 - 5 minutes (1000-watt or higher) or 5 - 6 minutes (lower wattage). Let the bag sit for 1 minute before removing. Open the bag by tearing down at the tear notch, being careful as the contents are extremely hot. 4. Prepare Potato Salad
Add the steamed potatoes and coleslaw to the bowl of bacon fat. Break the crispy bacon into small pieces and toss with the steamed potatoes and coleslaw. Add the juice of half a lemon and season with salt (if desired). Smash the potatoes while incorporating it with all the other ingredients in the bowl. 5. Plate and Serve
Divide the warm potato salad evenly between two plates. Slice the schnitzels and plate alongside the potato salad. *The USDA recommends cooking poultry to a minimum internal temperature of 165°F.

Standard PackagingA Styrofoam tray that is sealed in plastic — rigid enough to stack in the fridge, and free of charge. Meat in standard packaging is best when eaten within 3 days (stored at a refrigerator temperature of 38 degrees). For optimal freezing we recommend vacuum packaging.
Vacuum PackagingThis sturdy, airtight plastic pouch will protect and prolong the life of your order. It is perfect for freezing. With the seal intact, vacuum-packed meat will keep for up to 9 months in your freezer. For your convenience, each roast is individually vacuum packed; when meat is sold as a chop, steak or by the pound, your meat will be vacuum-packed based on minimum quantity. For example, if the minimum quantity of chops is two, your chops will arrive in vacuum-packs of two.
