- 2" Round Cookie Cutter
Wow, you’ve got some beautiful ingredients! Once you’ve unpacked your Red Velvet kit, take out 1 egg from your refrigerator. Let butter come to room temperature. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, almond fl our, baking powder, and salt and set aside.
Divide dough in half and pat to flatten into two disks. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill until firm, about 2 hours. (Or, refrigerate for up to 5 days.) Line two baking sheets with parchment paper provided. STEP 3
Remove one disk from fridge, and the second when ready. Roll out the dough between two sheets of wax paper provided with a rolling pin until it’s about 1/8 inch thick. For best results, rotate the dough by a quarter turn (or 90°) each time you apply pressure. This helps to avoid overworking the dough, and producing an even shape. Note: You can use the wax paper several times for all batches. Preheat oven to 350°F. STEP 4
Remove the wax paper from one side to expose the dough. Using a 2” round cookie cutter, cut out as many circles out as possible (16-20). Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes, until you’re able to transfer the cut-outs to the prepared baking sheets. Place the circles on the parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving 1 inch on all sides. Chill the baking sheet for 15 minutes. Bake until golden, about 9 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool. Repeat the process with the second disk, as well as any leftover scraps. This time, cut out a mini heart from the interior of the cookie using the cutter provided. STEP 5
Once the cookies have cooled completely, use an off-set spatula or butter knife to spread 1 teaspoon of raspberry jam onto the underside of the circle cookies without the heart shape cut-out. STEP 6
When you’re ready to serve these beautiful cookies, decorate them! Dust the tops of the cookies (the ones with a heart cut out) with confectioner’s sugar using a sieve. Generously coat the top of the cookie. Then, place the top of the cookie onto the raspberry coated bottom to make a sandwich. Enjoy with your favorite cup of tea or coffee!

Standard PackagingA Styrofoam tray that is sealed in plastic — rigid enough to stack in the fridge, and free of charge. Meat in standard packaging is best when eaten within 3 days (stored at a refrigerator temperature of 38 degrees). For optimal freezing we recommend vacuum packaging.
Vacuum PackagingThis sturdy, airtight plastic pouch will protect and prolong the life of your order. It is perfect for freezing. With the seal intact, vacuum-packed meat will keep for up to 9 months in your freezer. For your convenience, each roast is individually vacuum packed; when meat is sold as a chop, steak or by the pound, your meat will be vacuum-packed based on minimum quantity. For example, if the minimum quantity of chops is two, your chops will arrive in vacuum-packs of two.
