    There's a hint of roasted corn taste in the tender, orange-yellow flesh of this squash. Each one serves two people nicely. Dumpling squash has a thin, edible skin. It doesn't last as long in storage as most winter squashes, but the upside is that you can eat the whole thing. Just season with warm spices like cinnamon and cloves and bake.
