Blue Moon Acres' certified organic baby watercress is grown locally in Pennington, New Jersey and harvested to order. A new addition to our fields this year, baby watercress is a true cress—peppery and spicy, but not so much so that it can't be eaten raw. In fact, it should be used raw in a salad with a creamy dressing to even out the bite. Our cress is harvested below the joining stems, so the result is a nice cluster of watercress leaves. For this reason, it can also be used as a nice garnish to finish any dish.
This product is grown directly in the fields of Blue Moon Acres farm which employs sustainable farming methods like composting, biodiesel-fueled equipment, and geothermally-heated buildings. Blue Moon Acres is also dedicated to developing a healthy, vibrant soil with a diverse and thriving biology. By focusing on soil biology, we see increased plant health, greater sustainability by way of erosion prevention, and improved nutrient levels.(from Blue Moon Acres)
