Meadows and More Local Ramp Leaves
  • Description

Ramps are one of the more elusive (and therefore sought-after) members of the onion family, having only brief availability in the spring season. These ramps are handpicked with the utmost care for the plant and the environment and chosen for their amazing taste. Because ramps take seven years to mature, Meadows and More picks just one leaf from each ramp plant, leaving the bulb in the ground to preserve the ramp population. We use these instead of garlic or leeks while we can, or toss them on the grill (away from the flame) for an unbelievable side to grilled meat or seafood. (from Meadows and More)
