This robust wine, born from an ancient vine, has aged at least two years in oak casks and displays a pronounced bouquet and brilliant color. Bright ruby color, with purple hues, the aromas project ripe red berry, including strawberry and raspberry jam. In the mouth, coffee, spices and herbs, including an aroma of violets, plummy fruit flavours and aristocratic oak overtone. Cannonau is particularly suitable to accompany red meats and seasoned cheeses.
One of the most scenic regions of Italy, Sardinia is also known for its alluring varietal wines. Founded in 1899, Sella and Mosca is this Mediterranean island's premier wine producer and among the most progressive and magnificent wine estates in Europe. (from the vintner)
