Can you imagine today, what it would mean for a fourteen year old boy to leave his parents and join his brothers to earn a living, on the other side of the world? This journey was the humble beginnings for Josip Babich, founder of Babich Wines. Josip's vision to produce the wine he loved, through practical use of the land and solid farming ethics saw him produce and bottle his first wine at age twenty. An honest businessman, whose approach to winemaking was built on integrity, hard work and delivering value to the customer — these traditional values still guide the business today.
This classic Babich Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is consistently produced in a full, ripe, soft style that develops well. Musk melon, lime and minerals on the nose merge nicely with fresh and juicy flavors of guava and lime. Clean, fresh and tropical, this wine is best enjoyed while young. It screams out for seafood (think fresh oysters!)
