The name 'Gentil de Katz' originates from the village name Katzenthal, meaning 'the valley of the cats'. The origin of the 'gentil' has been lost in the course of years.
Gentil de Katz combines the 3 most delicious types of Alsacian grapes: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer. It is dominated by the rose aroma of Gewürztraminer, and elegantly develops into fruity notes. With a touch of mineral aroma it nestles on the palate and dispalys a convivial and fruity taste. This wine should always be kept chilled — perfect for spontaneous visitors, an aperitif with friends, festive buffets or cheese plates. (from the vintner)
