The tradition of wine making at Domaine Raissac goes back to the Gallo-Roman period. Even then, the estate was well-known for its rich soils and pleasant Mediterranean climate. Today Cecile and Gustave Viennet, the sixth generation of their family to cultivate grapes at Raissac, continue the centuries old tradition.
The Raissac Pinot Noir has a hearty red fruit nose redolent of Morello cherries and wild blackberries. Well-balanced, fresh and round on the palate with complementary cassis and raspberry fruit notes, supple tannins and mildly spicy finish. (from the vintner)
