Description
Villa Rosso was intially produced in 1928 as the first Chianti intended to age and improve over time. In 2001, Piero Antinori began a new phase for the wine, transforming it into a Toscana IGT (Typical Geographical Indication) produced exclusively from the grapes of proprietary vineyards in Tuscany.
Villa Antinori Toscana Red is intensely ruby red in color with aromas of ripe plums, sweet spices and dried fruit. On the palate, it has firm body yet supple, velvety tannins. It is long on the finish and has a savory aftertaste. (from the vintner)
