- Among the handful of best rosés in the world, Château de Pibarnon hails from the storied Bandol AOC and uses a blend of 60% Mourvèdre, 40% Cinsault. The unique location, completed by an audacious blend of varieties, gives this particular rosé, character, complexity and elegance.
Since purchasing the estate in 1975, Comte Henri de Saint-Victor and family have produced some of the most seductively aromatic and nobly structured wines in all of France. Perched atop La Colline du Télégraphe in the northernmost part of the appellation, the château commands sweeping vistas of the amphitheater of vines known as the Théatre dEpidaure, and beyond, the Mediterranean Sea.
Year after year the Pibarnon Rose wine is more and more a gastronomic wine. With a lot of different flavors and aromas. We find small notes of red fruits as strawberry, blackberry, raspberry and spicy notes. It's an elegant Rose Wine with a real Mediterranean character. Best with flavorful Mediterranean cuisine, lightly spiced or exotic. Its body allows it to go well with grilled fish, lamb curry, or simply with tapas. Surprising with blue cheese...this wine can even age a couple of years, if you can wait that long!
