Mapliers is located in the heart of Provence. The owner Jean Gallo has had a lifelong passion for wine. For many years, he was a wine distributor in the French Riviera, which gave him a unique insight into the best rosé producers and growing sites. To continue this passion, he purchased, along with his son, the land which became Domaine des Mapliers.
The organically-cultivated Grenache and Cinsault vines are spread on a south-facing hillside surrounded by olive groves and forest. The unique vineyards are at an altitude of 300 meters. This means that cooler summer nights lend the fruit wonderful, refreshing natural acidity.
Mapliers Rosé has a clear pale rose color reminiscent of rose petals. At first the nose is subtle with some cocoa and citrus fruit accents. With aeration, the wine expresses itself generously with iris and crocus floral aromas and a touch of spice. The mouth is very elegant with a very subtle tannic frame which gives this wine an excellent structure. Serve with salad Niçoise, shellfish, stuffed vegetables, grilled lamb, or even fruit desserts like Tarte Tatin. (from Mapliers)
