Paddy gets its name from Paddy Flaherty, a legendary salesman in the city of Cork. This triple distilled blended Irish Whiskey is made, unusually, with all three styles of Irish whiskey: single pot still, single malt and grain. Its relatively low pot-still content and uniquely high proportion of malt whiskey, ensures Paddy is one of the softest of all Ireland's whiskeys.
Fresh and lively, aromatic with a complex interplay of nutty maltiness, woodland fragrances and spice, with hints of honey and vanilla. On the palate, this whiskey is mild and soft with a distinctive mellow maltiness, a touch of sweet oil, spiciness — and again background notes of honey, vanilla, toasted wood. The finish has a gently fading sweetness, mellow maltiness, and mild woody notes lingering pleasingly. (from Paddy)
