One of Austria's top rosés, the Cistercien is made from Zweigelt, St. Laurent and Pinot Noir grapes grown sustainably in the cooler sites of Gobelsburg and Langenlois. After the harvest, the are softly pressed and then fermented to craft a fresh and fruit forward wine with elegance and minerality.
This rosé is very light in color with berry aromas and some nougat and Turkish honey notes on the nose. Cool and refreshing, lean and piquant despite the dominance of Zweigelt, this wine points in the Burgundy direction. So fresh and long. Its fragrance and fruit nuances of wild cherry and fresh berries make this rosé an optimal universal food companion. (from the vintner)
