Tequila Herradura is one of the oldest and most respected tequila producers. Since 1870 Herradura has been producing in one of Mexico's most historic distilleries, on the premises of a 19th century Hacienda in Amatitan, Jalisco.
Every bottle begins with our finest 100% blue weber agave. Off-shoots of the original plants have been growing at the Casa since 1870. The agave is hand-harvested and slow roasted in traditional clay ovens before a natural wild yeast fermentation. Herradura's unique double barrel Reposado process starts with 11 months of aging in a toasted American white oak barrel. Then the tequila is moved to a new toasted oak barrel for a final 30 days to impart smoothness and a unique flavor profile.
A rich copper colored tequila with aromas of anise, cooked fruit and agave spice. This exceptional Reposado balances smooth vanilla and butter notes with the elegance of cooked agave. The finish is spicy with a smooth and sweet ending. (from Herradura)
