Since the mid-1970s Duckhorn Vineyards has spent more than 30 years establishing itself as one of North America's premier producers. In the 1990s, Duckhorn created the Decoy wines from Sonoma County to deliver great quality at a remarkable price.
Building on the traditions established by our acclaimed Goldeneye and Migration wines, Decoy Pinot Noir expands our exploration of the depth and diversity of this varietal to Sonoma County winegrowing. Highlighting a distinctly plush and approachable expression of Pinot Noir, Decoy is crafted to be ready upon release.
This alluring wine displays classic Pinot Noir aromas of ripe strawberry, cherry and plum, along with subtle hints of cola and clove. On the palate, the lush fruit is underscored by lovely cool-climate acidity and silky tannins that carry the flavors to a long, elegant finish. Enjoy with Buffalo chicken dip, twice baked potatoes, and ham and cheese sliders. (from the vintner)
