Situated southeast of Montefalco in Giano dell'Umbria, the origins of the property date back to just after World War I, when in 1925 Moretti's grandfather Domenico emigrated from Switzerland and used his savings to buy an olive grove. Today, the estate has over 4,500 olive trees and 38,000 vines. In 1992, the estate adopted organic viticulture and was the second winery in Umbria to be certified organic.
The Grechetto is 100% vegan, as is the entire line from Moretti Omero. The nose is fragrant with ripe, white peach, complemented by vegetal and mineral notes. The finish is fresh and well-balanced. This wine pairs excellently with poultry and seafood such as cod. (from the vintner)
