This Pinot Grigio is made from 100% organically grown grapes, harvested by hand in September. The vineyards are in the province of Verona where the DOC adds further protection to the quality of the grapes and the wine.
The name ERA was chosen because it means an important historical period. This era is that of environmental awareness and an active desire to protect and preserve our environment for future generations through organic farming and production. ERA also refers to the Italian verb "was" as in, how it was. The turning back to more ecological farming practices of the past before the invention of herbicides and pesticides.
This wine is a brilliant straw color with golden reflections. It has a fresh and floral bouquet with a hint of pears, apricots and bananas blended with the intense aroma of acacia flowers. It is fresh and inviting with bright fruit and an easy drinking style. This wine pairs well with seafood dishes like risotto with scampi, spaghetti with clams, and sole in white wine.
