From Aurélien Laherte's family's chalkiest soils in Chavot and Epernay comes this racy and finesseful Blancs de Blancs. The current release hails from the superb base year of 2015, with half of the blend made up of reserve wines from the previous two years.
The Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature is lovely, with a mix of pear, apple, a touch of almond, bread dough and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate, the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and beautifully balanced, with good acidity, elegant mousse, and impressive length and grip on the classy finish. While this can be enjoyed by itself as an aperitif, this wine can be easily paired with fresh oysters or triple creme cheeses. This is a thirst quencher AND a wine for the Champagne cognescenti!
