Freemark Abbey was one of twelve American wineries chosen to compete in the historic Judgment of Paris tasting in 1976. It was the only producer with entries in both the Cabernet and the Chardonnay flights.
Blackberry, boysenberry and Bing cherry flavors dominate with nuances of milk chocolate, chocolate berry truffle dusted with cocoa powder, aromatic cedar and herbs de Provence. This Cabernet is full bodied, rich, and opulent, with great texture and integrated tannins. Pair with grilled meats, braised short ribs, or a gourmet hamburger. (from the vintner)
