Joseph Carr was an award winning sommelier and international wine industry executive who set out on his own in 2005 and founded Joseph Carr Winery in Carneros, California. The company works with small growers, coopers and winemakers to produce elegant, sophisticated, yet approachable wines from Napa Valley, Carneros, and the North Coast of California.
The nose exudes aromas of tropical fruits and citrus married with subtle oak notes. On the palate, this wine is a great balance of bright citrus and honey with a touch of oak character and hints of juicy peach, lemon oil, and crème brulée. Pairs beautifully with shrimp, steamed mussels, creamy pastas, roasted chicken, and grilled vegetables. (from the vintner)
