Description
Founded in the 15th century, Château de Pez is the oldest domaine in Saint-Estèphe, and among the oldest properties in Bordeaux's Left Bank. The domaine belonged to a succession of families until 1995, when it was purchased by Champagne Louis Roederer.
The bouquet expresses notes of black currant, cherry and licorice as well as a hint of minerals. Rich and complex, this wine maintains the balance between density and harmony, power and refinement. Best served with roasted, braised or grilled meats like steak, veal, pork, beef and game. (from the vintner)
