- The Table is a Burgundian Pinot Noir, with a California influence meant to be enjoyed with food. It is poured by the glass at the French Laundry and Michael Mina.
The Table Wines were created in association with America's finest sommeliers from Mark Tarlov of Evening Land Vineyards. Table Wines are custom-blended each year by the Evening Lands winemaker under the guidance of sommeliers including Daniel Johnnes (Daniel), Tim Kopec (Veritas), Bernie Sun (Jean Georges), Jimmy Hayes (French Laundry, Per Se and Bouchon), Raj Parr (Michael Mina), and Belinda Chang (The Modern), and are served as restaurant house wines.
The 2010 Pinot Noir is from Edna Valley AVA just south of San Luis Obispo. Very bright and fruit-forward with delicious flavors and mouthwatering freshness, Table Pinot Noir delivers varietal character even for the most discerning palates. With sweet and savory, herb-streaked aromatics this sweet, round, supple, polished wine is perfect for roast chicken, barbecue, and salmon. (from the vintner)
